Kelly Clarkson's My December Photo Booklet look
Kelly Clarkson is the celebrity I see as the most real- I mean, she's not anorexic, she has her own opinions, and she is a great singer-but not in the typical way.
I love her look, and here it is!
Hair: loose waves put in with a curling iron.
Makeup: A silver-grey smoky eye with orangey-blush and an orange-nude lip (like Rich Moisture Cream Lipstick in Dreamy by Rimmel London)
Eyes II
Night Eyes (don't you love the makeup in this picture?)
Start off with the daytime eyes. You may want to use a brighter colored liner, or a colored mascara if you want your eyes to really stand out.
Here's the procedure. (pass me the eyeliner, nurse!)
1. Do the daytime/regular eyes, but use a bright liner on the top lashline.
2. Add a sheer, shimmer filled shadow in a color that goes with the liner (While I write this, I'm doing it with Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil (sold at Target) in Silver. I'm using a shimmery, sheer white shadow all the way up to my brow.)
3. If you didn't already apply mascara, do a coat right now.
See, it's as simple as ONE, TWO, THREE. My silver-white look looked great with a shimmery pink lipgloss.
Eyes I
Natural eyes
Okay- I know you've seen it. I've seen it. I think we've all seen it. One of your friends (or maybe just someone at your school) with eyelids covered in so much makeup, you don't understand how they can open their eyes.
It's bad, isn't it? Well. There is a way to have gorgeous eyes without gluing your eyes shut with makeup- here's my version.
Brows: I know they aren't technically your eyes, but they do make your eyes look a heck of a lot worse if they look bad. Spend a little time every week grooming them to perfection. This website has a pretty good guide- although they say it in the most sugared up way...http://girlslife.com/g-blog/?p=3555
Liner- preferably on the inside rim of your top eyelid. (you need to sharpen the pencil daily to avoid infection, and don't share!) If you have blue eyes, try a gold or brown liner. If you have brown eyes, try a gold or purple hue. If you have green eyes, try a brown or bronze hue. If you have grey eyes, try a blue or pinkish hue.
Mascara- only if you need it. I don't use it daily, but sometimes I use a brown mascara. If you have dark, thick lashes like mine, just dab petroleum jelly on them and curl them if you want to.
And that's it for a clean, possibly natural (depends on what liner you use) eye.
Hey!
Hey- I'm C. I'm here 'cause I'm a teen and while I love reading Beauty Blogs and all, it gets a little annoying when all they talk about is Brand Name This and Brand Name That. I know I certainly don't have that kind of cash, and none of my friends do either. So here I am, describing hair and makeup stuff mostly from drugstores.... Maybe I'll showcase some clothes too, but mostly, I like beauty.
So this is me:
Hair: dark brown, medium length with bangs (like, past shoulders, but not by much.) Pretty healthy, shiny. THICK and occasionally wavy/curly but usually straight. I don't usually heatstyle it.
Eyes: Dark Brown with thick dark lashes that don't really need mascara and hold a pretty good curl.
Skin: Annoying. Usually pretty clear with the occasional breakout.
This is what I use almost daily:
Face soap: Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser Mask (its a little drying, so I like to use ST. IVES apricot scrub every once and a while.)
Face Lotion: Cetaphil lotion/cream
Lip-stuff: Carmex. (period.)
Concealer: Maybelline Coverstick in Medium/Deep Beige.
Shampoo: it changes all the time.
I'm going to do a series on Eyes first.... Wait and see!
